Some background…
When I take a road trip I’m often on the road long hours covering 1000km + in a day (that’s 600m for my ‘mericun friends). I’m not very good at checking in to let anyone know where I am because that kind of mileage doesn’t allow a lot of downtime for sending text messages home or posting updates to Instagram/Facebook/Twitter, that’s not a priority.

To make sure anyone that’s interested in my whereabouts <loved ones, friends that may be expecting me> there’s a GPS tracking app (followmee.com) running on my phone. Location, time, speed are updated  every 15min as I make my way across the continent on two wheels. Want to know where I am and what time I got there, no problem! It’s all on the map…well the last 3 days anyway.
